The Language Academy is a program of Cottonwood High School with the mission to teach English to newly arrived refugees and immigrants who speak little or no English while they are learning Utah core academic content. The goal is to assist their successful integration into U.S. society and teach U.S. culture, social and life skills in an enriching and supportive environment. The program serves 10th to 12th grade students for between one to four semesters.
